Nursing Team
Practice Nurses are available at the practice from 8.30am to 6pm weekdays.
Appointments are made by the receptionists. A nurse can also be seen for minor injuries, vaccinations, injections, and advice on minor health problems. Our nurses are concerned with health promotion and, in conjunction with the doctors, run several clinics. These include asthma, diabetes and cervical smears.
Our HCA’s support our Practice nurses by carrying out various duties including blood tests, ECG’s and BP checks, Dementia & Epilepsy reviews they also assist with our Minor Surgery Clinic. Our HCA’s are often the people you see if you need any tests doing or if you are a new patient joining the Practice.

Patient Service/Reception Team
Our Receptionists are here to help you and we hope you find our receptionists friendly and efficient. They have a difficult job to do, keeping both doctors and all patients happy, with telephone calls and enquiries from every direction, so please be patient.
We have a variety of professionals within the practice best help you. When telephoning for medical attention, the receptionist will ask you brief questions about your illness to enable them to direct you to the appropriate service.
All our staff members have been trained to make these enquiries so that we can help in the most appropriate way, and we appreciate the need to fully protect your confidentiality.
Our phone lines are busiest in the morning and therefore if you have any queries about test results, hospital appointments, ambulance bookings or anything you are not sure about, please telephone the surgery in the afternoon for advice.
Administration & Secretarial Team
The secretarial and administrative staff work behind the scenes providing clerical support to the Practice Primary Care Team. They are responsible for dealing with areas such as hospital referrals, Child Health Development and vaccinations, secretarial duties to all doctors, running the call and recall systems inviting patients to Diabetic Clinic, Heart Clinic etc., effectively administrating the government imposed standard in general practice called QOF which stands for “Quality and Outcomes Framework” and all incoming and outgoing correspondence to the Practice.
